Psychotherapy and Counselling
Sonia offers virtual psychotherapy, coaching and counselling in French and English to young adults and adults who live in Ontario. She has extensive experience in the treatment of anxiety, chronic worries and depression. She specializes in emotional regulation, burnout, ADHD, ASD in women, relationship issues, life transitions, women’s issues, procrastination, workplace and academic issues, executive functioning skills, stress management and social anxiety. Sonia strives to support neurodivergent individuals who struggle in their current job and hope to improve their work performance.
Sonia uses a collaborative and supportive therapeutic approach to help individuals overcome mental health issues and life challenges. She offers skills-based interventions and coaching to help adults who wish to improve their well-being, work performance, relationships, and academic success.
Clinical Supervision
Sonia offers supervision and consultation services to qualifying registered psychotherapists (RPQ) and to mental health professionals required to practice under supervision. She provides clinical supervision to assist developing professionals in improving case conceptualization and psychotherapy skills and to support supervisees in their professional development and self-care. As a supervisor, Sonia has several roles which include being a guide, consultant, and coach.
Education and Experience
Sonia received a Master of Education in Counselling from the University of Ottawa and she is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Since 2004, she has worked in vocational rehabilitation and disability services at the college and university levels. She is currently employed at the Paul Menton Centre for Students with Disabilities at Carleton University where she coordinates accommodations, conducts psycho-educational assessments as a psychometrist, trains and supervises new mental health professionals in the field of psychotherapy and facilitates group therapy for social anxiety. She maintains memberships with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.
Sonia a de nombreuses années d’expérience en tant que conseillère en santé mentale en milieu post-secondaire et communautaire. Elle travaille en pratique privée et à temps plein auprès des jeunes adultes qui ont des besoins spéciaux à l’Université Carleton. Sonia détient une Maîtrise en counselling éducationnel et est membre de l’Ordre des psychothérapeutes autorisés de l’Ontario. Elle continue également d’être membre de l’Association ontarienne des professionelles en santé mentale.
Sonia offre des services francophones en counselling, coaching, télépsychotherapie, supervision clinique et psychothérapie aux adultes. Elle se spécialise dans les troubles de l’humeur, d’anxiété, et d’hyperactivité et d’attention. Elle offre des services de counselling à ceux et celles qui ont des difficultés qui affectent leurs relations interpersonnelles, leur travail et leur performance académique.
Sonia pratique la pleine conscience quotidiennement et participe régulièrement dans des ateliers de perfectionnement professionnel dans le domaine de la psychothérapie, la supervision clinique et le trouble du déficit de l’attention chez la population adulte.

Clinical Supervision
Accepting requests from registered psychotherapists (qualifying) and registered psychotherapists (working towards independent practice). Offering practicum opportunities from January to August 2026 for graduate students in counselling psychology. Practicum opportunities have been filled for 2024-2025.
Fees
Session fee: $195 per hour for e-therapy, online counselling and coaching (the final minutes of each session are reserved for documentation and preparation).
Consultation and screening assessment fee: $195 per hour.
Registered psychotherapists in training (qualifying and under supervised practice) may contact me about fees for clinical supervision and consultation.
