We are a group of highly trained independent professionals in Ottawa, who hold multiple certifications in providing mindfulness based interventions. We incorporate mindfulness practices in interventions used for stress and burnout, academic struggles, parenting, life dissatisfaction and chronic pain.
Mindfulness Based Stress Resilience (MBSR)
Time: 18:00 – 20:00
This 8 week MBSR group is offered to adults who are experiencing stress or would like to prevent burnout, better manage chronic pain or the symptoms of menopause. The practice of mindfulness allows individuals to develop stress management strategies, increase self-acceptance, and approach difficult situations with more compassion and resilience The program consists of guided formal and informal meditations and mindful-movement exercises, followed by group discussions and psycho-education. This group was developed based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s MBSR, Zindel Segal, Mark Williams and John Teasdale’s MBCT, and Christopher Germer and Kristin Neffs’ Mindful Self-Compassion program.
Most insurance plans cover the cost of this workshop under psychological services.
