This one-day Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) based stress management program aims to support parents and caregivers who are experiencing stress, frustration or even anger in their parenting role.

If you are reading this page it means you are probably experiencing some stress as a parent. We want you to know that you are not alone. Parenting can be hard at times for most of us. Unfortunately, our children do not come with manuals and as a result sometimes our best effort to nurture their development does not yield the outcomes we were hoping for. And because our roles are not limited to parenting, and because our bosses, partners, and/or friends do not come with a manuals either, we often juggle multitude of expectations and situation that can provoke tension, disappointment or guilt in our lives.

In this program you will learn a very different way to relate to and engage with stressful events. You will gain an understanding of the cognitive and physiological effects of stress on your body, be able to Identify the main sources of parenting stress, take stock of your current coping strategies, and develop a brand new toolkit. You will walk away with variety of effective strategies to regulate your emotions, change your self-criticism and self-doubt to self-encouragement, and bringing compassion and non-judgmental attitude into your interactions with your children.

The program includes: psycho education, individual work, group discussions, experiential exercises, homework assignments and humor.

Disclaimer: Program will only run with the minimum of 10 registered participants.
